This fourteen-day journey pairs Peru’s Andean highlights with a private Galápagos cruise, structured as a single continuous trip rather than two separate journeys joined by a connecting flight.
Lima opens the trip with two nights at Belmond Miraflores Park, followed by two nights at Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba in the Sacred Valley among Moray’s terraces and Pisac’s market town.
Rail travel to Aguas Calientes and an overnight at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge lead into a private early entry to Machu Picchu, before a final night in Cusco at Belmond Hotel Monasterio closes the Andean leg of the trip.
From there, the journey connects through Lima and Guayaquil to the Galápagos archipelago, where six days aboard a small expedition vessel bring guests face-to-face with giant tortoises, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, and sea lions, the wildlife that makes the islands unlike anywhere else on the itinerary.
Days 1–4
Arrival at Belmond Miraflores Park, with the first day held free before a private city tour and an afternoon spent in Barranco.
Two nights at Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba anchor time spent among Moray’s terraced circles, the salt pans at Maras, and Pisac’s Sunday market.
Days 5–6
Rail travel to Aguas Calientes and an overnight at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge lead into a private early entry to the citadel, ahead of the first buses from town.
A specialist guide leads the way, timing the walk to whichever section of the ruins the light reaches first. By mid-morning, with the citadel already filling up, the afternoon train returns everyone to Cusco, the Andes still ahead of the journey’s turn towards the Pacific.
Days 7–8
A final night in Cusco, at Belmond Hotel Monasterio, allows one more walk through the city’s stone-walled streets before the journey turns entirely.
The flight north connects through Lima and Guayaquil to Baltra, and by the time a private boat delivers the group to a waiting expedition vessel, the Andes have given way to the equatorial Pacific.
Days 9–14
Six days aboard a small expedition ship move at the pace the islands themselves set, a different landing each morning with a certified naturalist leading the way among giant tortoises unbothered by an audience, marine iguanas draped across volcanic rock, and blue-footed boobies going through courtship rituals that look almost choreographed. Sea lions treat the shallows as their own, often surfacing closer than expected.
A last walk on deck on the final morning closes a trip that began in the thin air of the Andes and ends among some of the most unguarded wildlife on earth.
