Winter Honeymoons

Winter Honeymoons

Winter opens up two completely different kinds of honeymoon. The first is an escape from it: the Maldives in January, the Caribbean in February, Thailand or Mauritius when the rest of Europe is in a coat. The second leans into it: a ski chalet in the Alps, a Northern Lights lodge in Lapland, a long weekend in Vienna with nowhere to be.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

Leave Winter Behind

For couples who want warmth, water, and the knowledge that everyone back home is freezing. These are the destinations that are genuinely at their best between December and February.

The Maldives

January and February are the driest months in the Maldives. Overwater villas, private reef access, and water temperatures around 28 degrees while London sits in grey. Peak season for a reason, which means booking six months ahead at minimum for the best properties.

The Caribbean

December through April is the Caribbean at its best: low humidity, clear skies, and calm seas. Barbados, St. Lucia, and Antigua are the reliable choices. For something quieter, St. Barts and Mustique offer seclusion at a premium. We match the island to the couple.

Thailand and Southeast Asia

Northern Thailand, Koh Samui, and the Mekong region are all at their best from November through February. Combine a few nights in Bangkok or Chiang Mai with a beach finish in Koh Yao Noi or the Datai in Langkawi. Long-haul that earns the flight time.

Mauritius

One of the most underrated winter honeymoon destinations. The western and southern coasts hold up well through December and February. The One&Only Le Saint Geran and Shangri-La Le Touessrok are the standout properties.

Make Winter the Point

For couples who want the season rather than an escape from it. Log fires, mountain landscapes, Aurora-lit skies, and the kind of intimacy that warm-weather resorts rarely manage.

Lapland and the Northern Lights

Finnish Lapland in January or February: private glass-roofed cabins, dog sledding, reindeer safaris, and the genuine possibility of watching the Aurora Borealis from your bed. Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort is the benchmark property. Short in flight time from the UK, extraordinary in impact.

Ski Chalets, the Alps

A private chalet in Courchevel, Verbier, or St. Moritz, with a hot tub, a good wine cellar, and ski-in ski-out access, is as indulgent as anything in the tropics. We work with the best chalet operators in the Alps and handle lift passes, ski school, and in-chalet dining as part of the package.

European Cities in Winter

Vienna, Prague, and Budapest in December and January are genuinely at their best. Fewer crowds, candlelit restaurants, Christmas markets if the timing is right, and the grand hotels of Central Europe in their element. Pair two cities with a luxury train connection for a honeymoon with real character.

Japan in Winter

Tokyo and Kyoto in December through February offer a different Japan entirely. Snow on temple roofs, fewer tourists, and the ryokan experience at its most immersive. Combine with an onsen town like Kinosaki or Hakone for the full picture.

Why Book Your Winter Honeymoon With Do Not Disturb

Winter honeymoons have tighter margins than most. The best overwater villas in the Maldives during January, the glass cabins at Kakslauttanen in February, the top ski chalets in Courchevel over Christmas: these sell out early, often before the previous season has ended. Knowing when to book, and which properties are worth the rate, makes the difference between the trip you planned and the trip you settled for.

We have stayed in the properties we recommend. We know which Maldives atolls hold up in a January swell, which Lapland operators deliver on the Northern Lights experience, and which Alpine chalets justify the premium. That knowledge is built into every itinerary we put together.

Winter also rewards smart routing. A Caribbean honeymoon that combines two islands, a Southeast Asia trip that moves from city to coast, a Central European journey connected by luxury rail: these take more planning than a single-destination trip, and that planning is exactly what we are here for.
