At a glance

Sugar Beach occupies 12 acres of tropical gardens on the west coast of Mauritius, extending along a stretch of white sand beach above the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The resort is designed around colonial plantation-style architecture, with the Manor House at its centre alongside a series of Creole-inspired villa houses set within the gardens.

The west coast position means the resort faces west across the Indian Ocean, with sunset views directly from the beach and from the oceanfront rooms and suites year-round. Guests at Sugar Beach also have full access to the restaurants, bars, and facilities of La Pirogue, the sister resort a short walk along the beach, which doubles the dining and activity options available during the stay.

Tamarina Golf Club and Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club are both accessible from the resort, with complimentary green fees at Ile aux Cerfs included in some room packages. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is approximately 31 miles from the resort, around one hour by road.

Kruger rewards visitors year-round, but the experience changes considerably depending on when a traveller goes.
