Luxury European Rail Journeys

A More Glamorous Way to Travel

There is a version of European travel that moves at the right speed. The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express pulling out of London Victoria as the sun goes down. The Glacier Express threading through the Swiss Alps at a pace slow enough to actually take it in. The overnight crossing from Paris, waking up in a different country with breakfast already on the way.

Do Not Disturb plans luxury rail journeys across Europe as standalone experiences and as the centrepiece of longer itineraries. We handle the bookings, the transfers, and the hotel stays at either end. We know which routes are worth the journey and which cabin categories justify the upgrade.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

The most iconic name in luxury train travel, and one of the few that fully earns it. Art Deco interiors, silver service dining, and private cabins ranging from classic sleeper compartments to the Presidential Suite with a double bed, en-suite shower, and butler service. The train runs London to Venice with various European routings in between.

The Glacier Express

Eight hours connecting Zermatt and St. Moritz through 91 tunnels and 291 bridges, crossing the Alps at 2,033 meters with panoramic windows on both sides. Excellence Class adds a dedicated concierge, private lounge, and a multi-course meal paired with Swiss wines at your seat.

The Belmond Royal Scotsman

The definitive way to see Scotland. Edwardian cabins, wood-paneled interiors, and a route from Edinburgh out to the Firth of Forth that takes in the Glenfinnan Viaduct along the way. Operated by Belmond, so the service standard is consistent with the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. We pair this with Edinburgh before and can extend into the Highlands on either side.

The Britannic Explorer

Launched in 2025 and operated by Belmond, this is the newest entry in British luxury rail. Three-night itineraries from London Victoria cover Cornwall, the Lake District, and Wales, with just 36 guests across 18 cabins. Michelin-starred dining by Simon Rogan, a botanic bar, and a wellness suite onboard.

Why book with Do Not Disturb

The best cabins on these trains sell out months in advance, sometimes over a year ahead for peak season departures. We know when to book, what to pair the journey with at either end, and which cabin categories are worth the premium.

Rail travel also opens up a different routing logic entirely. Fly into Rome, take the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express to Venice, continue to Switzerland by rail, and fly home from Zurich. One continuous journey forward, with the train as the thread connecting it all.

Bahia Principe honeymoon 8 min read

A winter honeymoon in Europe can mean fewer crowds, better hotel availability and a more intimate atmosphere, but not every sunny destination offers the same experience. We compare the warmest options, the best places for actual beach weather, luxury hotels that work well out of season, and the destinations that still feel special once summer […]

Algarve 7 min read

Spain and Portugal can both make exceptional honeymoon destinations, but they deliver luxury very differently. Spain offers greater variety and a more developed high-end hotel scene, while Portugal is more compact, often better value and particularly easy to combine with wine country and coast.

A Maldives honeymoon usually comes down to one early decision. Stay on a single island for the full trip, or divide the time between two resorts with different characters.

Tuscany 6 min read

Most honeymoon planning defaults to summer, or to whichever destination is warmest on the day of the wedding. Autumn deserves its own shortlist. It is grape harvest in Italy, dry season settling in across the African plains, the last stretch of Caribbean heat before winter rates arrive, and a handful of weeks in Japan that […]

A decade ago, Lima was a single overnight before the flight to Cusco. Now, a two-day trip can be filled with clifftop parks, spectacular culture, and some of the best cooking in the Americas.

A Cultural Honeymoon in Peru: Machu Picchu, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and the Amazon 2 min read

Peru rarely makes the traditional honeymoon shortlist next to the beach destinations that usually fill it, but for couples who want the trip to mean something beyond the resort, few places offer as much. Machu Picchu, Cusco’s layered Inca and colonial architecture, the Sacred Valley’s living textile traditions, and a private stretch of Amazon rainforest […]

a stone wall with a pyramid in the background 2 min read

Peru and Mexico each hold one of the most recognized ancient sites on earth, Machu Picchu and Chichen Itza, and each pairs that landmark with a country’s worth of food, landscape, and history built around it. Neither trip disappoints, but the two experiences pull in genuinely different directions, and the choice usually comes down to […]
