At a glance

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort occupies 100 acres of tropical rainforest on the site of an 18th-century sugar estate in the Val des Pitons, on the south-western coast of St Lucia. The twin volcanic Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rise from the water on either side. The only white sand beach on this stretch of coast lies at the foot of the estate.

The resort was originally the Jalousie Estate, and that history carries through the architecture with four-poster beds, colonial detailing, and the ruins of the original sugar mill still visible from the guestrooms above.

Nine dining and drinking venues, a Rainforest Spa with treehouse treatment rooms, a Racquet Club, a PADI dive facility, and a kids club complete the offering. One Michelin Key.
