At a glance

Jade Mountain stands above Anse Chastanet Bay on the south-western coast of St Lucia, on a 600-acre tropical estate with the twin volcanic peaks of the Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rising from the Caribbean Sea below. Designed by architect-owner Nick Troubetzkoy.

Each of the 29 sanctuaries is accessed via its own private bridge and built without a fourth wall, opening entirely to the Pitons and the sea beyond. The floors are laid with over 20 sustainably sourced tropical hardwood species, the walls finished in coral plaster from Barbados. There are no televisions, radios, or telephones in any sanctuary, making it one of the Caribbean’s most complete digital detox destinations.

The rest of the resort is built to match. A restaurant serving Jade Cuisine by James Beard Award-winning Chef Allen Susser. A spa with treatments available in the privacy of your own sanctuary. A chocolate laboratory and organic farm on site. And full access to sister resort Anse Chastanet, with two beaches, a PADI 5 Star scuba operation, and over 12 miles of hiking trails.

Food and Drink

Jade Mountain Club is the resort’s signature restaurant, open exclusively to resident guests and set around an infinity pool with the Pitons as a backdrop. Led by James Beard Award-winning Chef Allen Susser, the Jade Cuisine menu draws on produce from the resort’s own Emerald organic farm and the wider Caribbean. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with private in-sanctuary dining available.

Celestial Terrace stands directly above the Jade Mountain Club, open each evening for cocktails and stargazing with the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea below. Emerald Farm, the resort’s organic farm, supplies the kitchen with fresh produce and is open for guided visits throughout the stay.

Spa and Wellness

Spa and Wellness

Kai En Ciel is the resort’s boutique spa, offering treatments in dedicated spa rooms or in the privacy of each guest’s own sanctuary, with access to the Kai Belté spa on Anse Chastanet beach throughout the stay. The menu covers classical, ayurvedic, and holistic services using Voya products, with the signature Alchemy of Two couples treatment available to book in advance.

Complimentary yoga is offered daily at sunrise and sunset overlooking the Pitons, with a Cybex fitness studio, estate bike trails, and daily escorted walks and hikes across the 600-acre estate completing the offering.

Activities

Activities

On the water, two beaches are accessible on foot or by resort shuttle, with scuba diving and snorkelling off the Anse Chastanet Reef through Scuba St Lucia. Kayaking, paddleboards, sailing, windsurfing, and a sunset cruise on the resort’s 60-foot catamaran Miss Babsie are all available.

On land, jungle biking on custom trails, daily guided walks and hikes, guided ascents of the Gros Piton by arrangement, and twice-weekly art classes with a resident art teacher cover the estate. Chocolate-making classes at the Chocolate Lab, Tree to Bar Chocolate Tours with a farm visit, cooking classes, Creole history classes, and rum tasting and mixology classes round out the culinary and cultural side. Guided excursions to the rainforest, Botanical Gardens, Drive-In Volcano and Sulphur Springs, catamaran tours, and whale and dolphin watching are arranged through the concierge team.

Sanctuaries

The 24 infinity pool sanctuaries build progressively in scale through four categories, each an individual work of architecture with no two the same. The Star and Moon sanctuaries offer the open-wall concept and private infinity pool at a more intimate scale, well suited to couples seeking seclusion with the Pitons directly ahead.

The Sun sanctuaries occupy corner positions with 270-degree panoramic views and pools averaging 900 square feet, while the Galaxy sanctuaries crown the collection from the south-west corner of the resort, averaging 2,000 square feet with panoramic property views and an infinity pool.
