On the Bay of Kissamos in western Crete, a region known for its wines, olive oil, and the secluded shores of Balos Beach, the resort has been designed as a landscape to be lived in as much as a place to stay.

Inspired by the coastal curves and ancient Minoan patterns of the surrounding terrain, the grounds include sensory gardens, rain gardens, hidden play spaces, olive-tree plazas, and pathways that make the setting as much a part of the stay as anything inside the buildings.

Food and Drink

Six a la carte restaurants and a Market bring together a culinary offer rooted in the fresh, locally sourced ingredients of western Crete, with menus curated by Michelin-starred chefs throughout. The standout detail is the pastry programme by Antonio Bachour, one of the world’s most acclaimed pastry chefs, whose creations run through the dining offer from breakfast to late evening. At sunset, three open-air bars set the tone for the rest of the night with cocktails, fine wines, and views across the Cretan Sea.
Spa and Wellness

Eight pools, including kids’ pools and a splash zone, give the wellness offering at Ikos Kissamos more aquatic variety than any other resort in the collection. Drinks are delivered directly to sun loungers throughout the day, and the surrounding landscape of sensory gardens, shaded pathways, and olive tree plazas gives the property a restorative quality that runs well beyond the spa itself.
