Grand Park Hotel, Rovinj

Grand Park Hotel, Rovinj

A 209-room hotel on Rovinj’s eastern shore, built into the pine forest of Golden Cape Park with views across the old town’s rooftops and the Adriatic beyond.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

At a glance...

The hotel sits on Rovinj’s marina, at the edge of the centuries-old Golden Cape forest park, with the old town’s church tower visible from much of the property. Interiors by Milan-based designer Piero Lissoni run to polished concrete, timber, and glass across six floors, and the hotel appears on The World’s 50 Best Hotels list.

Rooms and suites range up to 173 square meters, with several suites adding a private plunge pool on the balcony. The property runs to seven restaurants and bars in total, including two Michelin-starred kitchens, alongside a patisserie for mornings on the terrace.

For an Istria base with the polish of Dubrovnik’s hotels but an entirely different landscape, olive groves, and truffle country rather than fortified city walls, the Grand Park Hotel is a rare offering.

Seven restaurants and bars cover the property, including two Michelin-starred kitchens: Cap Aureo, focused on seafood and Istrian ingredients, and Agli Amici Rovinj, which pairs Italian technique with Croatian produce.

A patisserie serves breakfast on the terrace, and a cocktail bar covers evenings, with views across the marina to the old town from most seats.

  • Wellbeing

    Wellbeing

Albaro Wellness and Spa runs to roughly 3,800 square meters, with treatments built around medicinal algae, pressed olives, and local herbs steeped in Istrian liqueurs, alongside an indoor-outdoor pool and a full fitness centre.

The spa has drawn its own recognition separately from the hotel, including a placing on a UK magazine’s list of the world’s best.

  • Activities

    Activities

Direct access to Mulini Beach, tennis courts, bicycle rental, and walking distance into Rovinj’s old town for the harbor and the church of St. Euphemia.

A kids’ club runs through the summer season for families travelling with children.

The entry categories face either the pine forest of Golden Cape or the open Adriatic.

Suites

Four suite categories sit above the standard rooms, each built around a different outlook and terrace size rather than a single repeated layout.

Horizon Deluxe faces the forest park with a partial sea view and a covered terrace.

Island Deluxe sits at the corner of the hotel’s wing with a full sea view and its own private plunge pool on a wider wraparound terrace.

Sunset Signature adds roughly half again the floor space, with a larger terrace built for watching the sun go down over the water.

Rovinj Signature is the largest of the four, a corner suite with a 180-degree view of the old town and a terrace that wraps two sides of the room.

Hideaway Duplex Suite

Set apart from the other suites, this one spans two floors behind floor-to-ceiling windows.

The upper level holds the living room and entrance, and the bedroom sits below, opening onto its own private patio with a garden and a plunge pool that isn’t shared with any other room.

It’s the category built for a longer stay rather than a two-night stopover, with a walk-in wardrobe and a separate guest toilet adding to the sense of a small home rather than a hotel room.

Bahia Principe honeymoon 8 min read

A winter honeymoon in Europe can mean fewer crowds, better hotel availability and a more intimate atmosphere, but not every sunny destination offers the same experience. We compare the warmest options, the best places for actual beach weather, luxury hotels that work well out of season, and the destinations that still feel special once summer […]

Spain and Portugal can both make exceptional honeymoon destinations, but they deliver luxury very differently. Spain offers greater variety and a more developed high-end hotel scene, while Portugal is more compact, often better value and particularly easy to combine with wine country and coast.

It is grape harvest in Italy, dry season settling in across the African plains, the last stretch of Caribbean heat before winter rates arrive, and a handful of weeks in Japan that […]
