As the Waldorf Astoria brand’s first Costa Rica property, it has 188 rooms and suites designed to pull the landscape inside, with floor-to-ceiling windows, furnished terraces, and organic materials throughout.
Nine ocean-facing pools step down the cliffside, with a private stretch of Playa Penca beach below. The Punta Cacique peninsula puts the resort within easy reach of Guanacaste’s Pacific surf breaks and Liberia International Airport, around 45 minutes by road.
The 17,000 sq ft spa draws on Chorotega indigenous traditions for its treatments, while dining spans four venues anchored by La Finca, where modern technique meets Costa Rican produce. Snorkeling, yoga, and excursions to Rincon de la Vieja Volcano fill out the activities side, with most categories including freestanding soaking tubs and private plunge pools.

The facilities cover the standard high-end hotel spa offer: treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, sauna and steam. The yoga program and breathwork classes run alongside, with most sessions taking place outdoors with Pacific views.
