Royal Mansour has no conventional rooms or suites. Instead, guests stay in one of 53 individual riads spread across a five-hectare estate, connected by winding alleyways designed to recreate the feel of Marrakech’s own medina inside the walls of the hotel.
The property was commissioned by King Mohammed VI specifically to showcase Moroccan craft at its highest level: carved cedar ceilings, hand-laid zellige tiles, and ironwork made by the country’s leading artisans run through every riad.
The estate sits within walking distance of the Koutoubia Mosque and the main souks, though most guests find the grounds themselves—gardens, restaurants, and a three-floor spa—give them little reason to leave. Marrakech Menara Airport is a short private transfer away.
Several restaurants sit across the estate, spanning Moroccan, French, Italian, and Asian menus, including a fine-dining room helmed by a Michelin-recognized chef. A dedicated Moroccan restaurant focuses entirely on traditional dishes prepared with the same level of craft applied throughout the property, and in-riad dining is available for guests who prefer to eat entirely on their own terms.
The three-floor spa is built around an ornate glass atrium and offers full traditional hammam treatments alongside more contemporary therapies. Each riad also has its own private plunge pool or pool access depending on category, and the largest riads include a private hammam and gym within the residence itself.
Private guided walks through Marrakech’s medina and souks can be arranged directly through the property’s concierge team, along with day trips to the Atlas Mountains or the Jardin Majorelle. Cooking classes centered on Moroccan cuisine, taught by the estate’s own chefs, are available for guests who want a more hands-on afternoon within the grounds.
