The coral reef is close enough to the shore to snorkel from the beach, the Flacq open-air market is ten minutes away, and catamaran excursions to Ilot Gabriel run regularly for those who want a day on the water.
The northeast coast is quieter than the busier resort strips elsewhere on the island, and the Azuri suits that well, making a straightforward and enjoyable case for couples and families who want a well-run beachfront resort without the sprawl of larger properties.
Four restaurants and bars cover the full range of the day, from breakfast through to evening cocktails at the Cyan Bar. The kitchen draws on local Mauritian, Mediterranean, and international influences, giving the dining offer enough variety to sustain a week without repetition. The Cinque Mondes Spa brings one of France’s most respected wellness brands to the northeast coast of Mauritius, with a treatment menu rooted in beauty rituals from five continents. The coral reef directly off the beach is the resort’s most distinctive natural asset, accessible for snorkeling without a boat transfer.
