KK Beach is a ten-suite boutique hotel on Habaraduwa Beach, a two-kilometre stretch of coastline on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, 12 kilometres from the UNESCO-listed city of Galle.

Designed by owner and interior designer George Cooper, the hotel sits on one of the few undeveloped beach stretches on the south coast, which also serves as a marine turtle nesting ground. Part of the KK Collection alongside sister property Kahanda Kanda, KK Beach combines contemporary design with a collection of Sri Lankan artworks that carries through every space.

Ten ocean-view suites, a beachfront restaurant serving fusion cuisine, and a 20-metre adults-only pool with direct views over the Indian Ocean are the foundations of the stay. A complimentary shuttle connects guests to Kahanda Kanda for lunch, dinner, or spa treatments at its Spa Pavilion. Whale watching, cycling, deep-sea fishing, and boat trips on Koggala Lake can all be arranged through the hotel.

Food and Drink

Bamboo Restaurant and Bar sits on the ground floor, opening onto the pool and the beach beyond. The menu draws on organic produce from George Cooper’s estate alongside fresh local ingredients, covering breakfast through dinner.

Expect egg hoppers, Sri Lankan curries, and tropical fruit at breakfast, with fusion dishes, fresh seafood, and Sri Lankan rice and curry through lunch and dinner. Guests can dine indoors, poolside, or on the beach, with an evening seafood barbecue available on selected evenings.
Spa and Wellness

In-room body massages can be arranged on site at KK Beach, with a complimentary tuk-tuk shuttle to sister property Kahanda Kanda for full wellness treatments at its KK Spa.

The adults-only 20-metre pool, opening onto direct views over the Indian Ocean, is the main focal point on site, with the long, undeveloped Habaraduwa Beach extending in either direction for walks and swims.

Suites

Ten suites across four categories, all with ocean views, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass panels, private terraces, Bose sound systems, minibars, tea and coffee making facilities, and house-brand bath products. A blue and white colour scheme carries throughout, with crisp white linens, indigo accents, and original works by Sri Lankan artists in every room. All bedrooms are above ground floor and there is no elevator.

Rooms extend from the Ocean Deluxe at 40 square metres with a private terrace, through the Ocean Suite at 60 square metres adding a separate sitting area, to the Penthouse Room at 85 square metres with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and the best sunrise views in the hotel. The Penthouse Suite crowns the collection at 105 square metres with a sunbathing terrace, separate sitting area, and a bathroom with both shower and soaking tub.
