At a glance

Torel Palace Lisbon stands on Colina de Sant’Ana, one of the seven hills that define Lisbon’s topography, in a position that gives the property panoramic views over the city centre, the Tagus River, and São Jorge Castle.

The hotel occupies four historic buildings, the Pink Palace, the Blue Palace, the Lavra Palace, and the White Building, three of which are 19th-century mansions. Each room and suite is named after a Portuguese royal figure, with the interior design drawing on the heritage of the buildings and the history of the monarchy they honor.

The hotel has 33 rooms and suites, a private villa, and five exclusive apartments, in an intimate and pet-friendly environment. The Lavra Funicular, the oldest in Lisbon, stands a short walk from the entrance, with Rossio, Chiado, and Bairro Alto all within an eight-minute walk. The hotel won Best Boutique Hotel at the Publituris Portugal Travel Awards 2025 and Best Hotel View in Europe.

Portugal’s most visited cities tend to absorb all the attention, leaving a string of historically significant, culturally layered destinations largely undisturbed by mass tourism.

Lisbon 9 min read

Lisbon balances old-world charm with easy modern rhythm. Draped across seven hills, it’s a city shaped by light and resilience. Moorish alleys, tiled facades, and tramlines tracing the past into the present. Here, mornings begin in Alfama’s quiet lanes and end with Fado under low light. Between them: markets, monasteries, sea air, and slow meals […]

Kenya’s most compelling honeymoon itinerary moves between two entirely different worlds: the wildlife-dense plains of the Maasai Mara and the ancient coral-stone quietude of Lamu Island. Together, they form a journey that is both dramatically varied and precisely calibrated for couples seeking depth over spectacle.

While the Masai Mara dominates Kenya’s safari conversation, Laikipia Plateau has quietly assembled one of Africa’s most compelling luxury wildlife destinations across its network of private conservancies. Here, exclusivity is structural rather than marketed; it takes the form of land, access, and a conservation model that keeps the crowds out by design.
