Little Palm Island Resort and Spa is an adults-only private-island resort in the Florida Keys, reachable only by boat or seaplane.

The four-acre private island lies off Little Torch Key in the Lower Keys. Guests leave their cars at a mainland reception and cross to the island. Just 30 thatched-roof bungalow suites, with no TVs or phones, and the island holds no more than about 60 guests at any time.

The British West Indies-style bungalows hold four-poster beds, vaulted ceilings, outdoor copper tubs, and private decks, some with their own sand and fire pit. Dining is a highlight, in the Dining Room or out on the beach, with the open-air SpaTerre spa and a lagoon pool alongside. An adults-only island built for honeymoons and anniversaries, with the reef, watersports, and beach dinners making it easy to never leave. Key West and its airport are about an hour away.

Food and Drink

Little Palm Island’s restaurant is one of the standouts of a stay, with both indoor seating and a terrace, and a bar in the alfresco dining area for evening cocktails.

The menu is regularly updated, with a seven-course tasting menu available alongside à la carte. Breakfast can also be delivered to the bungalow for dining on the private terrace.
Spa and Wellness

SpaTerre is the island’s open-air spa, built around a two-story atrium with a reflective pool, where treatments draw on Balinese and Indonesian rituals.

The menu covers a signature four-hands massage, CBD treatments, and seaweed body rituals, with massage rooms that open to private outdoor terraces. Beach yoga and a recently added fitness centre sit alongside. The lagoon pool with its cabanas, and the white-sand beaches, fill the gaps between.
Activities

The water is the main event. Looe Key, part of the world’s third-largest barrier reef, is a short boat ride away for snorkelling and diving.

Closer in, guests take out kayaks and paddleboards, sail the resort’s Hobie Cats, or head out on Boston Whalers to fish or explore the Great White Heron National Wildlife Refuge. Back on the island, the team sets up sandbar picnics, sunset sails, and fireside evenings under the stars.

Room Types

Bungalow Suites

30 thatched-roof bungalows and suites, closer in feel to Maldivian accommodation than mainland Florida, with signature Floribbean design elements unique to the Keys.

All suites hold bamboo ceilings, wooden furniture, chandeliers, and four-poster beds, with outdoor showers and private sundecks holding ocean views. Each bungalow operates as its own private cocoon, with Key West reachable in about an hour for guests wanting cultural and nightlife excursions during a stay.
