Delaire Graff Estate sits atop the Helshoogte Pass above Stellenbosch, reached along a vineyard-lined mountain road roughly 50 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.
Garden, Luxury, and Superior Lodges, along with two Presidential Lodges and a four-bedroom Owner’s Villa, are set among the vines with private pools and views toward Table Mountain or the Simonsberg, with three restaurants, a Wine Lounge, a spa, and a private art collection among the estate’s facilities.
The design leans on Laurence Graff’s own art collection, sculptures set through the gardens, paintings and objects placed through the Wine Lounge’s interiors by David Collins Studio, so that moving through the estate feels as much like moving through a gallery as through a vineyard.
A spa set among the vines draws on Cape Winelands ingredients and Augustinus Bader skincare, and the estate’s own art collection continues into its treatment spaces, a setting as much for looking as for unwinding.
Delaire Graff Restaurant, Hōseki, and Lorenzo’s cover bistro fare, Japanese cuisine, and Italian dishes across the estate, with produce drawn from the Estate’s own gardens and vineyards feeding into the kitchens. Meals are served with views across the Banghoek Valley, and the wine list draws entirely from the Estate’s own vineyards.
Tutored Wine Tasting Experiences run through the estate’s art-filled Wine Lounge, alongside self-guided walks through the gardens and grounds, where more than 400 pieces from Laurence Graff’s private collection are set among the vines and pathways.
Private dining, spa treatments, and boutique visits, including the estate’s own Graff store, the only one on the continent, are arranged directly through the lodge.
Six individually decorated suites, including Honeysuckle, Tang, and Hibiscus, each themed with antique furnishings and its own colour palette, with balconies or verandas over the gardens and mountains.
Suites including Disa, Frangipani, and Chambre Bleu, spacious doubles with a private bath, balcony, or veranda, and mountain or vineyard views.
One-bedroom suites with a loft bedroom, private garden, and covered patio, set apart from the main house for families or groups.
