The Bulgari Hotel Milano occupies a converted 18th-century palazzo and former convent on a quiet residential street between the Brera arts quarter and Via Montenapoleone. It opened in 2004 as the first property in the Bulgari Hotels portfolio. Interiors contrast dark, intimate communal spaces with rooms flooded with natural light through floor-to-ceiling glass. Teak, oak, and leather dominate the furnishings; black Zimbabwe marble and white Navona travertine give the bathrooms weight and drama.

The hotel sits between two of Milan’s most significant neighbourhoods. Brera offers independent galleries and restaurants; the Quadrilatero della Moda and La Scala are a short walk in the other direction.

43,000 square feet of private gardens set the Bulgari apart from any comparable Milan address. Il Ristorante, with three Michelin stars under chef Niko Romito, and a spa modelled on Roman bathing tradition with a gold-tiled pool complete the case for staying in.

Food and Drink

Il Ristorante is led by three-Michelin-star chef Niko Romito, whose concept centres on classic Italian cooking stripped back and rebuilt with precision. Familiar dishes arrive recalibrated and sharper than expected. Terrace dining opens onto the garden in spring and summer.

The Bulgari Bar and Lounge runs from morning coffee through to late-night digestifs, with a cocktail list anchored by the signature Bulgari Cocktail. The Sunday brunch at 120 euros draws as many Milanese as hotel guests.

Spa and Wellness

The Bulgari Spa is modelled on ancient Roman bathing tradition, with a gold-tiled pool, mosaic hammam, and thermal circuit. A private gym conceived by trainer Lee Mullins operates alongside the spa floor.

Treatment rooms are available for individual bookings. The combination of the Roman bath structure and the quality of the fitness programming makes it one of the more considered hotel wellness offerings in Milan.

Location

The hotel sits on Via Privata Fratelli Gabba, a quiet street between Brera and the Quadrilatero della Moda. The Pinacoteca di Brera, La Scala, and the Duomo are all reachable on foot in under 15 minutes.

Milan Linate Airport is approximately 20 minutes by car. Milan Malpensa, handling the majority of international routes, is around 45 minutes.
