North Island is an ultra-exclusive Seychelles private-island resort, with just 11 villas, a bespoke all-inclusive stay, and a pioneering conservation programmeme.

North Island is a private granite island in the Seychelles, 30 kilometres north of Mahé and reached by helicopter. Once a plantation, it has been restored as a conservation island, the ‘Noah’s Ark’ project that has brought back giant tortoises and nesting sea turtles.

The villas are vast, around 450 square metres in driftwood and natural materials, each with a private pool, kitchen, and living area. Dining is all-inclusive with no fixed menu, the chef building each meal around what you want, eaten in-villa, at The Piazza on East Beach, or on the sand. About as private and romantic as the Seychelles gets, a honeymoon island, with Honeymoon Cove among its four beaches, though larger villas suit families too. Service is barefoot and personal, the island shared between a handful of guests.

Food and Drink

Dining is all-inclusive and built around the guest rather than a set menu. On arrival, the chef talks through what you like and plans from there, drawing on a Michelin-starred consulting chef and produce grown on the island.

Meals can happen almost anywhere: in your villa, at The Piazza on East Beach, at the Sunset Bar, or set up privately on a quiet beach or sandbank. Wine and drinks are included throughout.
Spa and Wellness

The Spa at North Island sits among the trees, with treatments that lean on island-grown botanicals, and these can also be brought to your villa.

The wider sense of wellness comes from the setting itself: a 42-metre main pool, a private pool at every villa, four quiet beaches, and almost no other guests. Yoga, swimming, and long unhurried days do the rest, with the island’s calm built into the whole stay.
Activities

Conservation carries through the experience. Guests can join the resident environmental team at the island’s environment centre, plant a native tree, or watch green and hawksbill turtles nesting in season.

Out on the water, the diving and snorkelling are strong, with reefs and granite drop-offs close in, alongside fishing, kayaking, and sunset cruises. On land, there are guided island walks, bikes, and quiet beaches at each point of the compass to claim for the day.

Beachfront Villas

Ten Beachfront villas located on East Beach, with direct access to the beach and ocean. Each villa is private and surrounded by ocean views.

The layout is open-plan, with artisan-made furniture throughout, each villa screened by natural vegetation for privacy. Around 450 sqm each.

Villa North Island

Also known as Villa 11, the flagship villa at 750 sqm, nearly palatial in scope. Coconut groves lead to the beach, with a concealed entrance opening onto a leadwood bridge to the property.

The most generous configuration on the island, suited to honeymooners or guests wanting the largest footprint and most secluded setup.
