Luxury Mexico Honeymoons

Luxury Mexico Honeymoons

Why choose Mexico for a honeymoon?

Mexico gives you more variety than almost any other honeymoon destination at this price point. You can spend three nights in a clifftop suite above the Caribbean at Tulum, then fly west to Mexico City for world-class food and museums, then continue to Oaxaca for mezcal distilleries and the most interesting cooking in the Americas.

The food rewards serious attention. This is not resort buffet cuisine but a regional tradition with real complexity: Oaxacan mole simmered for hours, fresh octopus tostadas at a market counter in Ensenada, slow-cooked cochinita pibil in a hacienda dining room outside Merida.

The beach options span the full spectrum. The Riviera Maya offers turquoise water and very polished resort infrastructure; the Pacific coast runs from the surfable breaks at Sayulita to the empty, undeveloped stretches near Zipolite. Properties like Rosewood Mayakoba, Chable Yucatan, and Banyan Tree Mayakoba operate at a level that competes with the best anywhere in the world.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. Where to go for your Mexico honeymoon

Riviera Maya

This is the Mexico most honeymooners picture: Caribbean water in shades that don’t look real, resort infrastructure that genuinely delivers, and enough jungle between properties to feel removed from the world. The stretch between Playa del Carmen and Tulum covers everything from ultra-polished five-star resorts to intimate boutique stays above the cliffs. Rosewood Mayakoba and Banyan Tree sit at the top of the market here and justify every dollar. If you want beach as the centerpiece of your honeymoon, the Riviera Maya is hard to argue against.

Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta works differently to the Caribbean coast. The Pacific is rougher, the setting is more dramatic, and the town itself has a genuine character that most Mexican resort destinations don’t. The Sierra Madre mountains drop almost directly into the bay, and the combination of cobblestone streets, serious restaurants, and some of the country’s best boutique hotels makes this a strong choice for couples who want more than a beach. The Punta Mita peninsula to the north, home to Four Seasons and St. Regis, adds a quieter, more secluded option within easy reach.

Oaxaca

No other city in Mexico rewards honeymooners who eat well like Oaxaca does. The food culture here is genuinely world-class: mole negro, tlayudas, chapulines, mezcal from single-village producers. The colonial centro is compact enough to explore entirely on foot. Pair three or four nights here with time on the Oaxacan coast at Huatulco or Mazunte and you have a honeymoon that moves between culture and coastline without ever feeling rushed. It’s the right choice for couples who want their trip to feel like more than a resort stay.

Why Book Your Mexico Honeymoon with Do Not Disturb

Mexico is one of the most rewarding honeymoon destinations in the world, and one of the most varied. The country spans an enormous range of experiences, regions, and price points, and knowing how to put them together is what turns a good trip into an exceptional one.

Our travel experts have been to Mexico. They know which Tulum hotels have the views and the service to match, which Yucatan haciendas deliver on their promise, and which Pacific coast properties are worth the journey.

In the Riviera Maya alone, the choice of hotels is genuinely dizzying. We cut through it and point you toward the properties that are right for you specifically.

We handle everything from flights and transfers to private guides and dinner reservations at restaurants that don’t take walk-ins. You arrive with a complete trip already in place, and a dedicated expert available throughout if anything needs adjusting on the ground.

There are no package tours here. Every Mexico honeymoon we plan is built from scratch around the two of you: how long you have, where you want to go, and how you want to spend your time when you get there.

Rail travel offers honeymooners something that flights cannot: the journey itself as a destination, measured in landscapes rather than hours.
