Park Hyatt Tokyo occupies the 39th to 52nd floors of Shinjuku Park Tower, the Pritzker-winning Kenzo Tange building that has anchored West Shinjuku since the early 1990s. The hotel reopened in 2025 after a full top-to-bottom renovation, returning with the same set of rooms, restaurants, and bars that built its reputation.
There are 171 rooms in total, including 29 suites. The interiors are set up to feel residential rather than hotel-like: bespoke furnishings, curated art, and floor-to-ceiling windows over the city throughout. Clear-day views across to Mount Fuji from the higher suites.
The 52nd-floor New York Grill is the headline restaurant, with live jazz, an open kitchen, and 360-degree skyline views. Kozue handles modern Japanese on the 40th, and Girandole, the brasserie space, reopened under Alain Ducasse after the renovation. The Library on the 41st floor holds over 2,000 books originally curated by interior designer John Morford.
The 52nd-floor New York Grill is the headline restaurant: open kitchen, nightly jazz, 360-degree views, and Valerio Adami murals across the walls. Kozue covers modern Japanese on the 40th, with bamboo sculptures by John Morford and Mount Fuji views on clear days.
Girandole, now reopened under Alain Ducasse, handles French brasserie cooking. Peak Lounge serves afternoon tea in a glass-walled bamboo atrium.
Club On The Park occupies two floors and 2,100 sqm, with a 20-metre glass-walled pool, Technogym kit, and dedicated yoga and stretching studios. Personal trainers and tailored fitness programmes are available on request.
The Library on the 41st floor holds over 2,000 books on art, culture, and history, curated by interior designer John Morford. Reading replaces a formal lounge space here.
Park Hyatt Tokyo sits in Nishi-Shinjuku, on the western side of central Tokyo, within walking distance of Shinjuku station, the city’s largest transport hub. Shinjuku Chuo Park is next door.
Shinjuku Gyoen, Meiji Shrine, and Yoyogi Park are all nearby. The 200-bar warren of Golden Gai is a short walk for nightlife, with Isetan Shinjuku close by for shopping.
The Park Deluxe Suite occupies the 42nd to 45th floors, with separate living and bedroom spaces, a dining table for four, and city or Mount Fuji views. The bathroom comes with a separate rain shower and deep soaking tub.
Connecting Deluxe rooms are available for families. The most accessible suite category at the hotel, with the floor position putting Mount Fuji within view on clear days from the upper floors.
The Park Premier Suite is positioned higher in the building, 46th to 51st floors, with city views, a dining table for four, and a walk-in closet. Standard suite layout with separate living and bedroom, rain shower, and deep soaking tub.
The step up from a Deluxe Suite for guests prioritizing elevation. Mount Fuji visibility improves with the higher floor position.
The Governor’s Suite is a specialty suite on the 44th floor, with a grand piano in the living room and a Japanese hinoki pinewood soaking tub. Separate living and bedroom areas, a dining table for four, a day bed, and a half bathroom complete the layout.
