AMAN

AMAN

The top six floors of the Otemachi Tower, with a 30-meter pool above the Imperial Palace Gardens and the largest hotel spa in Tokyo, are occupied by AMAN.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

At a glance

Directly below the AMAN are the Imperial gardens, alongside being connected directly to Otemachi station: five subway lines and a short walk to Tokyo Station. Haneda Airport is 40 minutes by car, Narita is around an hour.

The interiors pull heavily from Japanese tradition. Washi paper, stone, and untreated wood throughout, with ikebana displays in the lobby and engawa platforms framing the windows. The lobby itself is one of the largest in the city, a six-storey atrium opening up the entire floor.

Rooms are styled in ryokan tradition: floor-to-ceiling windows over the skyline, shoji sliding doors, and traditional stone furo baths. City Suites start at 121 sqm and the 157 sqm Aman Suite tops the range. This is the third Aman property in Japan, completing the brand’s trio alongside Aman Kyoto and Amanemu.

There are four restaurants across the hotel. Musashi by Aman is the signature, an Edomae omakase counter built around hinoki cypress where master chef Musashi works directly in front of guests. Arva covers southern Italian cooking under Venice-trained chef Masakazu Hiraki.

La Pâtisserie handles homemade breads and pastries on B2, and The Lounge by Aman is known for one of Tokyo’s more creative afternoon teas, served with skyline views.

  • Spa and Wellness

The Aman Spa spans 2,500 sqm across two floors, the largest hotel spa in Tokyo. Eight treatment rooms come with private dressing areas, steam showers, and relaxation spaces.

Facilities include a 30-meter heated indoor pool, traditional Japanese baths, steam rooms, and a Pilates studio with reformers. Every treatment opens with the Misogi ritual, a Shinto water-based purification.

Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kanazawa and Takayama. Japan’s most rewarding itineraries rarely begin and end in Tokyo, they move through cities where the food runs centuries deep and a slower pace tell a different story to the capital.

Japan rewards preparation more than almost any other destination, and a few things have changed recently that every first-time visitor should sort before they leave.

Few experiences in Japan are as quietly revealing as an onsen. These natural hot springs are not simply places to bathe. They are social spaces governed by a shared understanding of how to behave considerately in close proximity to others. For first-time visitors, the rules can feel opaque.
