Motu Nao Nao Private Island

Motu Nao Nao Private Island

75 acres of private island on Raiatea’s lagoon, four villas, your group only, with a chef working almost entirely from what comes out of the lagoon and gardens around you.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

At a glance

The island is rented exclusively for one group at a time. No other guests, no other staff schedule to work around.

Four handcrafted villas sit across the island, each designed around the natural landscape with custom furniture, panoramic views, and private trails, beaches, and docks throughout the grounds. The villas vary in scale from one-bedroom couples’ options to multi-room family configurations.

A private chef runs a seasonal menu built almost entirely from locally sourced ingredients: fish caught in the lagoon, organic vegetables from the gardens, wild island produce. Experiences range from sailing in a traditional Va’a Holopuni outrigger canoe and Ori Tahiti dance lessons to kitesurfing across the Raiatea lagoon and open-air cinema on the beach at sunset.

In detail

  • Food and Drink

    Food and Drink

A dedicated private chef oversees all meals on the island, working from a seasonal menu where ingredients are sourced as locally as possible. Fish comes from the surrounding lagoon, vegetables are organic, and wild ingredients found on the island are incorporated throughout.

Everything is prepared and served exclusively for the group in residence. Service is custom: dinner on the beach, in the villa, by the pool, or in the open dining area. The schedule and setting are entirely yours.

  • Spa and Wellness

    Spa and Wellness

Yoga, pilates, and massages can all be arranged on the island, with sessions held against the natural sounds of the lagoon and surrounding landscape.

The pace of the island itself is a significant part of the wellness offering. Private trails, beaches, and docks run through the 75 acres for unhurried exploration. Solitude is the point as much as the active program.

  • Location

    Location

Motu Nao Nao sits on the lagoon of Raiatea, the second largest island in French Polynesia and one of the least visited by international tourists. This gives the property a level of seclusion that Bora Bora’s more developed coastline can no longer offer.

The lagoon is calm and clear, with kitesurfing, sailing, and snorkeling available directly from the island’s own docks and beaches. Raiatea Airport is reached by boat across the lagoon and a short drive.
