At a glance

Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc stands on the tip of the Cap d’Antibes peninsula, a French Riviera Palace hotel founded in 1870 with gardens that extend directly down to the Mediterranean.

The grounds of this Palace hotel reach to the Mediterranean coastline. The property was established in 1870 as a refuge for creative and artistic spirits on the French Riviera, and it has retained that particular character ever since.

The 111 rooms and suites are spread across three buildings: the original Villa Soleil, the Eden-Roc Pavilion, and the private Les Deux Fontaines residence. Four villas in the grounds offer additional privacy for families or groups. Executive Chef Sébastien Broda leads a contemporary Mediterranean and Provençal kitchen across multiple restaurants, from The Grill at lunch to the Eden-Roc Restaurant for dinner, all positioned along the coastline. The Dior Spa Eden-Roc handles wellness, alongside a beauty salon and fitness facilities.

Executive Chef Sébastien Broda leads four restaurants built on relationships with traditional producers and a philosophy of cooking with a light touch. The Eden-Roc Restaurant serves contemporary Mediterranean dishes on a terrace between sea and sky.

The Grill overlooks the famous saltwater pool with sunset views. Louroc holds a Michelin star for evening dining, while Giovanni’s serves Italian beneath a pergola. Six bars cover every mood and hour of the day.

  • Spa and Wellness

Dior Spa Eden-Roc shapes its treatments around the hotel’s four defining elements: garden, sea, rocks, and sun. The Dioriginels rituals are created exclusively for this property, with sessions covering anything from a single treatment through to 14-day wellness programmes.

Treatment spaces include a sea-facing Bamford cabana, a park gazebo, duo cabins, hammam, sauna, and the Roc Affusion Suite. A full beauty salon handles hair, makeup, and body treatments.

Room Types

Classic Room

Set in the original 19th-century Villa Soleil, Classic Rooms are decorated in soft greens and blues that mirror the garden views outside. French classical furnishings keep the feel quiet and considered, while the marble bathrooms are generously proportioned for the size of the room.

F. Scott Fitzgerald, a former guest, described the hotel as an escape from all the world. These rooms make good on that.

Deluxe Room

Also in the historic main building, Deluxe Rooms are larger and brighter, with views that take in the gardens and a glimpse of the Mediterranean through the pine canopy beyond.

Classic French furniture stands against a pale, light-filled interior, and rooms can interconnect on request for families or groups. The step up from Classic is primarily one of space and sea outlook.

Travel inspiration and editorials

Strasbourg, France 5 min read

France’s most rewarding cities are not always its most photographed. Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Marseille, and Strasbourg each hold a distinct identity shaped by trade, architecture, and food, the kind Paris rarely replicates. For travelers building a serious France itinerary, these five are not detours. They are the destination.

Luminara: The Ritz-Carlton Yacht 6 min read

Ritz-Carlton didn’t enter yachting to build bigger ships. They entered to prove that service architecture matters more than square footage. On Luminara, that difference becomes impossible to ignore.

French Riviera Luxury Travel 7 min read

Before it became synonymous with yachts and cinema, the French Riviera was a quiet coastline prescribed for winter health. Over two centuries, it evolved into the world’s most enduring symbol of luxury travel.

Marseille 5 min read

Marseille tells its story without polish. A working port before it was ever a destination, it hums with energy — fishermen, spice markets, sea spray, and sun on stone. This is France in its rawest form: alive, imperfect, and entirely its own.
