Camp Ripan

Camp Ripan

A 90-cabin lodge on the edge of Kiruna in Swedish Lapland, with ski tracks and hiking trails from the door, the White Guide-certified restaurant, and the award-winning Aurora Spa.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

At a glance

Camp Ripan sits on the edge of Kiruna, Sweden’s northernmost city in the heart of Swedish Lapland, around 90 minutes by flight from Stockholm. The lodge sits between the town centre and the surrounding pine forest, with ski tracks and hiking trails starting directly from the property.

Ninety cabins are arranged across the grounds, each with its own private entrance, ski box, fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows over the surrounding nature. Five cabin categories accommodate everything from couples to families of four.

Cloud-free skies and long polar nights make Kiruna one of the best places on earth to see the Northern Lights through the winter season. The ICEHOTEL in nearby Jukkasjärvi, dog sledding, snowmobile tours, and Sámi cultural experiences are all within reach. The award-winning Aurora Spa, the White Guide-certified restaurant drawing on Sámi and Torne Valley traditions, and a guided activity programme are run from the property itself.

In detail

  • Food and Drink

    Food and Drink

The restaurant is White Guide certified, one of Scandinavia’s most respected culinary accreditations. The menu draws on Sámi, Swedish, and Finnish Torne Valley traditions, shifting with the eight traditional Sámi seasons throughout the year.

All ingredients are locally and sustainably sourced. Breakfast is served as a continental buffet, and the dinner menu features dishes such as reindeer and local fish. Wine and spirit tastings are also available.

  • Aurora Spa

    Aurora Spa

An award-winning spa built around the natural materials and contrasts of Swedish Lapland: stone, wood, and water. The design philosophy brings the outside in rather than blocking it out, with guests moving freely between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Facilities include an indoor pool, an outdoor heated pool, an aroma sauna with pine oil, a mineral sauna, an outdoor sauna, a mountain stream feature, and a relaxation area with panoramic windows. The signature Aurora Spa Ritual Stävan is a bespoke journey through the facilities. All products are handmade on site.

  • Activities

    Activities

Led by local guides with deep knowledge of the region. In winter, dog sled tours and snowmobile excursions cover the Arctic wilderness, with ice fishing, skiing, and snowshoeing trails starting from the property.

The Northern Lights are a winter draw. Camp Ripan organises guided tours with local experts, alongside day trips to the ICEHOTEL in nearby Jukkasjärvi, reindeer camp visits, Sámi culinary experiences, and wildlife tours for moose and Arctic bird species.
