At a glance

White Elephant Aspen is one of Aspen’s most compelling new openings, bringing the celebrated East Coast resort brand’s blend of boutique luxury and personality to the Rocky Mountains for the first time.

The 54-room hotel stands on West Main Street in Aspen’s historic West End, designed by Boston firm EMBARC with a palette of rust, cognac, and warm whites layered over leather, stone, and natural wood.

Roman clay walls, embossed leather headboards, and a curated collection of over 125 original artworks give the interiors real distinction. The signature Lola 41 restaurant occupies a glass-enclosed pavilion serving seafood and sushi, alongside a speakeasy lounge built for après-ski. A heated year-round pool, outdoor hot tubs, heated ski lockers, and complimentary BMW airport transfers round out a well-considered property in one of America’s great mountain towns.

In detail

  • Food and Drink

    Food and Drink

Lola 41 is the hotel’s signature restaurant, set in a glass-enclosed pavilion that opens onto the pool lounge. It is the Aspen outpost of the brand’s well-known Nantucket and Palm Beach restaurant, with a menu built around sushi, seafood, and globally inspired plates along the 41st parallel.

A speakeasy-style bar operates alongside it, drawing locals as well as guests, which makes the restaurant a lively hub for dinner and après-ski rather than a quiet hotel dining room.

  • Spa and Wellness

    Spa and Wellness

A year-round heated outdoor pool and two hot tubs stand at the centre of the hotel, alongside an outdoor fire pit and a 24-hour fitness center.

For anything more involved, guests get VIP access to Base State Longevity, an Aspen recovery studio with IV drips, red-light therapy, a hyperbaric chamber, saunas, and cold plunge. The mountains themselves do the rest, with skiing, hiking, and biking on the doorstep.

White Elephant Aspen covers the basics for an Aspen stay across all seasons. A year-round heated pool, two outdoor hot tubs, and an outdoor fire pit handle the après-ski essentials.

The Boot Lounge offers heated ski lockers and Alps & Meters gear, with a dedicated ski concierge and slope shuttle covering the logistics. Complimentary BMW airport transfers and courtesy bikes round out a well-stocked offering, with VIP access to recovery studio Base State Longevity available for wellness-focused guests.

Napa still sets the benchmark for American wine travel, but it is far from the only place doing it well. Across the US, a handful of regions have built serious reputations for specific grapes, distinct climates, and style of hospitality.

Kenya’s most compelling honeymoon itinerary moves between two entirely different worlds: the wildlife-dense plains of the Maasai Mara and the ancient coral-stone quietude of Lamu Island. Together, they form a journey that is both dramatically varied and precisely calibrated for couples seeking depth over spectacle.
