At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

At a glance

Aigialos occupies a cluster of historic Cycladic and neoclassical buildings in the calmer part of Fira, carefully reconstructed while preserving the domed ceilings, hand-carved details, and stone paths that define the island’s architectural heritage. Each residence is named after one of the ancient Greek wind gods, the Anemoi.

Rooms and suites range from 28 to 72 square metres, with marble floors, antique furnishings, and private or shared terraces positioned for views of the volcano, caldera, and Aegean horizon. Breakfast is served on your terrace or poolside, with homemade bread, pies, and à la minute egg dishes.

A member of Historic Hotels of Europe, the property pairs heritage with relaxed caldera-view dining and wine pairings. Oia, Akrotiri, the island’s Assyrtiko wineries, and Fira’s main square are all within easy reach.

In detail

  • Food and Drink

    Food and Drink

Breakfast is served on your private terrace or poolside, with homemade bread, pies, fresh fruit, and à la minute egg dishes. All-day dining leans into Greek and Mediterranean simplicity: fresh salads, mezedes, traditional specialties, and desserts built around Santorinian tomatoes, capers, and cheeses from Santorini and Crete.

Room service is available through the day, with curated Assyrtiko wine and cheese pairings timed for the caldera sunset a particular highlight.

  • History

    History

Originally the home of a prominent Santorinian sea-captain family, Aigialos was restored in 2000 by descendants Koula Tsouni and her brother, Ambassador Tsounis. Master masons rebuilt the property using local volcanic stone, Greek marbles, and coloured lime plaster, preserving the traditional way of life of the island’s nobility.

Accepted into Historic Hotels of Europe in 2005, it has collected awards for style, service, and cuisine since.

  • Location

    Location

The settlement sits in a quiet stretch of Fira, Santorini’s capital, on the caldera front, away from the busier centre but within walking distance of the main square.

Oia, the archaeological site at Akrotiri, and the island’s Assyrtiko wineries are all an easy drive, with the airport and main port roughly 15 to 20 minutes away.
