Beginning in Rio de Janeiro, you’ll experience the city’s famous landmarks alongside its everyday food culture and neighbourhood rhythms. The route continues to the thundering Iguaçu Falls before heading north to Salvador, where colonial architecture, music and history shape daily life. The journey ends on the palm-lined shores of Bahia, allowing time to slow down and reflect after a perfect exploration of the highlights of Brazil.

In detail

Days 1–3

Rio de Janeiro

Your journey begins in Rio de Janeiro, one of the world’s most recognisable cities. After arrival, settle into your hotel near the beach and enjoy time to relax after your flight.

Over the following days, explore Rio’s essential landmarks with a private guide. Ascend Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car for sweeping views over Guanabara Bay, stand beneath the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, and enjoy a traditional barbecue lunch. A separate guided food-focused experience introduces you to local markets, bars and long-standing neighbourhood favourites, offering insight into the city’s everyday culinary culture.

Days 4–5

Iguaçu Falls

Fly south to Iguaçu Falls, one of the world’s great natural spectacles. From your hotel near the Brazilian side of the falls, take time to appreciate the scale and sound of the cascades from nearby viewpoints.

A private tour of the Argentine side allows you to get closer to the water, walking along footbridges that reveal the falls from multiple angles. The experience offers striking contrasts between wide panoramas and immersive, close-up encounters with the rushing water.

Days 6–8

Salvador

Continue north to Salvador, the historic heart of Afro-Brazilian culture. Based in the city’s atmospheric historic centre, explore Salvador with a private guide, taking in the colourful streets of the Pelourinho, baroque churches and staggering views across All Saints Bay.

Time is left free to explore at your own pace, whether browsing handicraft markets, enjoying local cafés, or attending a cultural or music performance. Salvador’s layered history, music and architecture give the city a distinct identity unlike anywhere else in Brazil.

Days 9–11

Praia do Forte

Travel along the coast to Praia do Forte, a relaxed beach town set among palm trees and natural pools. These final days are dedicated to rest and unstructured time by the ocean.

Relax on white-sand beaches, swim in calm waters, explore nearby coastal trails or simply enjoy the facilities of your resort. Spa treatments, gentle walks and poolside afternoons provide a calm conclusion to the journey.

Days 12–13

Departure

A private transfer returns you to Salvador Airport for your onward flight home, bringing your journey through Brazil’s cities, landscapes and coastline to a close.
