The Four Seasons Toronto

The Four Seasons Toronto

Toronto’s most polished address, in the heart of Yorkville, with the city’s only Forbes Five-Star spa.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

At a glance

The Four Seasons Toronto opened in 2012 in Yorkville, the city’s most upmarket neighborhood, and has held its position as the best hotel in Toronto without much serious challenge since. It is a modern building rather than a historic one, which means 259 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, generous proportions, and none of the architectural constraints that come with an older property.

The location puts you a short walk from the Royal Ontario Museum, the best of Bloor Street’s shopping, and some of the city’s best restaurants.

What distinguishes it beyond the Four Seasons standard is the dining and the spa. Café Boulud brings Daniel Boulud’s culinary approach to Toronto in a restaurant that has earned a local following, which at a hotel restaurant is worth noting. The spa carries a Forbes Five-Star rating, the only hotel spa in the city to do so.

In detail

  • Food and Drink

    Food and Drink

Café Boulud is the main reason to eat in rather than out, which is not something you can say about many hotel restaurants. Daniel Boulud’s approach, rooted in the home cooking traditions of Lyon and refined through decades of French cuisine.

The rotisserie is the kitchen’s centrepiece and the Sunday brunch has developed a reputation that brings in locals as much as hotel guests. The wine list runs to over 350 labels.

d|bar sits at street level below the restaurant with a patio that opens in warmer months and a cocktail programme built around craft spirits and sharing plates. It has the energy of a place people choose to come to rather than fall into by default, which for a hotel bar is the right distinction.

  • Spa and Wellness

    Spa and Wellness

The spa holds a Forbes Five-Star rating, the only hotel spa in Toronto to do so. Seventeen treatment rooms, two steam rooms, sauna, and a Wellness and Bio Bar focused on therapeutic treatments that go beyond standard massage and facial offerings.

The indoor pool sits on the ninth floor with floor-to-ceiling windows and city views, which is a considerably more appealing proposition than the basement pool most city hotels manage. The fitness centre runs 24 hours with yoga and Pilates classes available on a scheduled basis.

  • Location

    Location

Yorkville is the right neighbourhood for a luxury Toronto stay. Bloor Street’s high-end retail, the Royal Ontario Museum, and the best of the city’s restaurant scene are all within easy walking distance.

The nearest subway station is one block away, making the wider city straightforwardly accessible. Pearson International Airport is around 35 minutes by car depending on traffic, and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, which handles domestic and some US routes, is around 15 minutes.

Room Types

Superior and Deluxe Rooms

Located on the lower floors, these are the entry point into the property. Floor-to-ceiling windows, granite bathrooms with deep soaking tubs and rain showers, and the quiet that a well-built modern tower delivers.

Views vary between city west and the gardens to the east depending on orientation. Comfortable and well-proportioned by any measure, though the higher floors are worth the premium for the outlook.

Premium Rooms

Located on the upper floors with significantly better city views in both directions. The extra elevation changes the experience meaningfully in a city with Toronto’s skyline. The right choice for anyone who wants a standard room configuration with the best possible setting.

Suites

The suite collection ranges from the Yorkville Suite, a one-bedroom configuration with a separate living room and corner city views, through to larger two and three-bedroom arrangements on the upper floors.

The premier suites include separate dining rooms, full kitchens, and original works by Canadian artists throughout. For a Toronto stay of more than a few nights, the residential quality of the larger suites makes the city feel like somewhere you are living rather than passing through.
