At a glance

Paresa Resort is a clifftop, all-suite property on Phuket’s Millionaire’s Mile, with 42 pool suites and villas looking out over the Andaman Sea.

The name means “heaven of all heavens,” and the resort lives up to it, set high on the cliffs between Patong and Kamala. Arrival is at the top, with the walk down through tropical forest toward the sea passing low, earth-toned buildings that step down the slope.

All 42 suites and villas come with a private infinity pool facing the Andaman, and the largest residences add their own kitchens and wine cellars. Talung Thai, the Michelin-listed clifftop restaurant, leads the dining, with a spa, a cooking school, a gym, and a 30-metre main infinity pool rounding things out. Kamala Beach is a short drive down the hill, with the airport about an hour away.

In detail

  • Food and Drink

    Food and Drink

Talung Thai is the signature restaurant, set on the clifftop with sunset views over the Andaman and a Michelin Guide listing for its Thai and international cooking.

Beyond it, dining turns private: a quiet table beside the infinity pool, a meal served in your own suite, or sunset cocktails mixed poolside. Rates include a sparkling-wine breakfast, and the cooking school operates hands-on Thai classes.

  • Spa and Wellness

    Spa and Wellness

The spa works through a menu of Thai massage and body treatments, with the resort’s hillside setting and forest cover doing much of the calming on their own.

Every suite and villa has its own infinity or plunge pool, and a 30-metre main pool stretches along the cliff edge above the sea. A gym, a library, and a private gallery cover the quieter side of a stay.

  • Location

    Location

Paresa holds a clifftop plot on Millionaire’s Mile, the coastal road between Patong and Kamala on Phuket’s west coast, with the Andaman Sea and its sunsets filling the view.

Kamala Beach and its old fishing village are a short drive down the hill, with the bars and nightlife of Patong about 20 minutes away. Phuket International Airport is roughly an hour by car, with free transfers to Kamala Beach.

Northern Thailand operates according to different historical and spiritual logic than the central kingdom. Chiang Mai’s three primary temples reveal this distinction more clearly than any guidebook summary. Lanna, the historical kingdom centered in the north, developed as a separate cultural entity, influenced by Khmer, Burmese, and Mon traditions rather than the centralized Siamese model.
