Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa sits on the sheltered bay of Grand Cul de Sac on the northern coast of St Barts, named one of the Best Resorts in the World by Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards in both 2024 and 2025 and ranked in the top ten Caribbean resorts for nine consecutive years. The hotel opened in 2016 and holds Green Globe certification, renewed in September 2025.

The setting is the draw: a calm lagoon backed by tropical gardens, with interiors by designer Sybille de Margerie that connect living space to the water beyond. Private terraces, ocean views and a philosophy the hotel describes as couture hospitality shape every room and suite.

Dining covers the signature restaurant Abyss, led by Chef Guillaume Gillan serving French haute cuisine with Caribbean influence, alongside the Seven Stars Bar, a concept built around astrology, art and cocktails.

Le Spa at Le Barthélemy holds partnerships with both La Mer and Cinq Mondes. A watersports program makes use of one of the island’s calmest bays for kitesurfing, paddleboarding and snorkeling.

Food and Drink

Dining at Le Barthélemy spans four distinct settings.

Abyss is the signature restaurant, led by Chef Guillaume Gillan serving French haute cuisine with Caribbean influence, open for dinner.

Amis St Barth serves lunch and Sunday brunch in a casual beachside setting.

The Seven Stars Bar pairs astrology-inspired interiors with cocktails, with Le Turquoise Pool Bar handling daytime drinks by the water.
Spa and Wellness

Le Spa at Le Barthélemy is the only La Mer spa in the Caribbean, with treatments built around the brand’s Miracle Broth, from detoxifying and hydrating facials to the Genaissance anti-aging ritual.

The spa also partners with Cinq Mondes, bringing ancestral wellness rituals from five continents alongside the La Mer offer.

An open-air atrium draws the Caribbean setting into the experience. A dedicated Longevity program pairs medical innovation with regenerative wellness for guests seeking something more transformative.
Activities

The calm, sheltered waters of Grand Cul de Sac directly in front of the hotel give the watersports program one of the best settings in St Barts. Paddleboards, kayaks, glass-bottom kayaks, snorkeling equipment and a giant paddle are all included in the room rate.

Jet skis, kitesurfing and windsurfing gear are available to rent separately. The hotel’s Boston Whaler 35ft boat supports half-day, full-day and sunset excursions departing directly from the lagoon.

Around 20 sea turtles regularly return to the bay, drawn in by the calm water and the coral reef barrier that stops the waves at the lagoon’s entrance. Swimming alongside them is one of the more consistent wildlife encounters on the island and requires no boat or guide to arrange.

A flexible suite available in one, two or three-bedroom configurations, sleeping up to eight guests with direct views over Grand Cul de Sac Bay.

The balcony overlooks the Caribbean waters, with king-size beds, Diptyque amenities and walk-in showers throughout. A well-considered option for families or groups wanting hotel-grade luxury with a more residential feel.

La Suite Barthélemy Plage

The beachfront counterpart to La Suite Barthélemy, adding direct beach access to the same flexible one, two or three-bedroom configuration sleeping up to eight guests.

In the two and three-bedroom configurations, each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, with the spacious private terrace opening directly onto the sands of Grand Cul de Sac Bay. Diptyque amenities and walk-in showers throughout.

Villa Oui

Villa Oui is a renovated villa nestled in Petit Cul-de-Sac, five minutes from Le Barthélemy Hotel and exclusively bookable through the hotel.

Sea views, a heated pool, Nordic baths, sauna and a private ocean-view gym are all on site.

Full access to Le Barthélemy’s restaurants, spa and watersports center is included alongside the villa privacy. The villa is suitable for guests aged 12 and over.
