Amanbagh is an Aman resort in the Aravalli Hills of Rajasthan, occupying the site of a former royal hunting ground in Ajabgarh Village, two hours by private car from Jaipur or accessible by helicopter via the property’s own helipad.

Rose-hued Mughal-inspired architecture with domed ceilings and vaulted entrances defines the resort’s visual identity. Suites and Pavilions are set around private terraces and courtyards, several with private pools. The surrounding landscape of ancient forts, tiger-inhabited wilds, and Somsagar Lake gives the property a setting with few equivalents among Indian luxury resorts.

Private dining defines the culinary program at Amanbagh, with meals served in settings chosen for the occasion rather than in a fixed restaurant environment. Breakfast is served beside Somsagar Lake, and candlelit dinners for up to 100 guests are held on the Polo Lawn.

The kitchen prepares each experience with discretion, drawing on regional Rajasthani produce and techniques. A Camp and Oasis Journey pairs three nights at Amanbagh with three nights at Aman-i-Khás in Ranthambore for guests exploring broader Rajasthan.

Spa and Wellness

The Aman Spa is built around India’s Ayurvedic tradition, with a full treatment program of therapies and multi-day immersive retreats for guests seeking more than a single-session experience. A Detoxification Program developed in partnership with Novak Djokovic is available as a structured wellness immersion.

The resort’s garden setting, with the Aravalli Hills as a backdrop and the calm of Somsagar Lake nearby, extends the restorative quality of the spa well beyond the treatment rooms.

Activities

The Aravalli Hills surrounding Amanbagh hold ancient forts, temples, and villages largely untouched by mainstream tourism, with guided cultural excursions available directly from the resort. The nearby town of Alwar, one of Rajasthan’s least-visited royal cities, gives access to palace exploration and local markets.
