At a glance

The St. Regis Le Morne Resort occupies the foot of Le Morne Brabant, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the south-western tip of Mauritius, directly on Le Morne Beach with the Indian Ocean lagoon on one side and the mountain rising behind the resort on the other.

The resort rebranded from JW Marriott Mauritius in May 2025, retaining its 172 suites and the Grand Beachfront Villa while introducing the St. Regis brand’s signature butler service across every accommodation category. The colonial-inspired architecture and seaside manor character of the property are central to its positioning as an all-suite, all-butler resort.

Le Morne is one of the most recognized kitesurfing and windsurfing destinations in the world, with the One Eye surf spot off the peninsula drawing enthusiasts from across the globe. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is approximately 60 kilometers from the resort, around one hour by road.

Travel inspiration and editorials

Kenya’s most compelling honeymoon itinerary moves between two entirely different worlds: the wildlife-dense plains of the Maasai Mara and the ancient coral-stone quietude of Lamu Island. Together, they form a journey that is both dramatically varied and precisely calibrated for couples seeking depth over spectacle.

While the Masai Mara dominates Kenya’s safari conversation, Laikipia Plateau has quietly assembled one of Africa’s most compelling luxury wildlife destinations across its network of private conservancies. Here, exclusivity is structural rather than marketed; it takes the form of land, access, and a conservation model that keeps the crowds out by design.

The Amalfi Coast offers no shortage of places to spend money well, but Positano and Ravello represent two fundamentally different arguments for how a luxury trip here should feel. Choosing between them is less a matter of preference and more a question of what kind of traveler you actually are.
