Food & Drink
Days at Zuri move between Upendo Restaurant and the poolside Maischa. Upendo takes an international approach with a strong Zanzibari accent, with live cooking stations and a full bar keeping things relaxed and social. Maischa is the more focused of the two, with a menu drawing on southern European and Indian Ocean influences and views across the pool and out to sea. For something more informal, the Beach Bar handles snacks, cocktails, and sundowner drinks from the sand throughout the day. The Dhow Bar, set on the private beach, is reserved exclusively for suite and villa guests.
For guests who want a more personal introduction to the island’s food culture, Swahili cookery lessons using produce from the resort’s own spice garden can be arranged on request.
