Luxury Cambodia Honeymoons

Luxury Cambodia Honeymoons

Few honeymoon destinations in Southeast Asia balance temples, cities, and coastline as neatly as Cambodia. Angkor draws people in, but the country has more to offer than one temple complex, and the way the regions link together makes for an unusually well-paced trip.

Siem Reap is the natural starting point. Sunrise at Angkor Wat is the obvious draw, but the quieter corners tend to be what stays with you: Beng Mealea, Banteay Srei, the jungle-wrapped ruins of Ta Prohm. Stay somewhere like Amansara or Phum Baitang and the days settle into a slower rhythm.

Phnom Penh shifts the tone. Riverside promenades, French colonial architecture, and the weight of Cambodia’s recent history give the capital a depth that Siem Reap doesn’t have. A night or two here adds context to everything else.

The coast finishes things on a different note. Song Saa Private Island and Six Senses Krabey Island are the standout properties, both built for couples and designed for the kind of seclusion that ends a honeymoon well. For something wilder, Shinta Mani Wild has tented suites along a private river inside protected forest.

What makes Cambodia work is how comfortably the pieces fit. Internal flights are short, the country isn’t oversubscribed, and the top-end properties now match anywhere else in Southeast Asia. For couples after culture, beaches, and time on their own without a punishing itinerary, it’s hard to fault.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

Best Places to Go for Your Cambodia Honeymoon

Siem Reap is where most Cambodia honeymoons begin. Angkor Wat is the obvious draw, but the wider complex rewards a few days: Ta Prohm tangled in strangler figs, the delicate carvings of Banteay Srei, and the jungle ruins of Beng Mealea further out. Amansara and Phum Baitang set the standard for where to stay.

Phnom Penh changes the register. The Royal Palace, the National Museum, and the riverfront along the Tonlé Sap give the capital its texture, while Raffles Hotel Le Royal and Rosewood Phnom Penh anchor the top end. Two nights is usually enough to feel its rhythm before moving on.

The coast is where the trip slows down. Six Senses Krabey Island sits on a private island off Sihanoukville with standalone villas and a hilltop spa, while Song Saa Private Island offers overwater bungalows on its own marine reserve in the Koh Rong archipelago. Both are built for couples and both are quiet in the way coastal Cambodia still manages to be.

For couples who want to go further off-grid, Shinta Mani Wild puts tented suites along a private river inside a protected forest corridor, with rangers, river kayaks, and dinners cooked over open fire.

Why Book Your Cambodia Honeymoon with Do Not Disturb

Cambodia is less about covering distance and more about getting the detail right.

The difference comes down to how you experience places like Angkor Wat. The timing of your visits, the pace of each day, and the quality of your guide all shape how the temples feel in practice. Done well, it never feels crowded or overwhelming, even at the most well-known sites.

We focus on building that level of control into your itinerary. Early access, carefully planned routes through the temples, and the right balance between guided time and space to explore on your own all make a noticeable difference.

Beyond Siem Reap, the same applies to the rest of the country. The Cambodian coast can vary significantly from one property to another, and choosing the right setting, whether that is more remote or more refined, defines how the final part of your honeymoon feels.

We also keep the structure of the trip simple. Cambodia does not need to be overcomplicated, and the best itineraries move at an easy pace, with smooth transitions and time built in to enjoy each place properly.

Most importantly, we shape the experience around you. Cambodia provides a strong sense of place, but the way you move through it is what turns it into a honeymoon rather than just a visit.

Ancient Khmer temple ruins in the Cambodian jungle beyond Angkor Wat 5 min read

Tuscany 6 min read

Most honeymoon planning defaults to summer, or to whichever destination is warmest on the day of the wedding. Autumn deserves its own shortlist. It is grape harvest in Italy, dry season settling in across the African plains, the last stretch of Caribbean heat before winter rates arrive, and a handful of weeks in Japan that […]

A Cultural Honeymoon in Peru: Machu Picchu, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and the Amazon 2 min read

Peru rarely makes the traditional honeymoon shortlist next to the beach destinations that usually fill it, but for couples who want the trip to mean something beyond the resort, few places offer as much. Machu Picchu, Cusco’s layered Inca and colonial architecture, the Sacred Valley’s living textile traditions, and a private stretch of Amazon rainforest […]

Peru and Mexico each hold one of the most recognized ancient sites on earth, Machu Picchu and Chichen Itza, and each pairs that landmark with a country’s worth of food, landscape, and history built around it.
