The Four Seasons Montreal

The Four Seasons Montreal

Montreal’s most talked-about address since it opened in 2019. A sleek modern hotel in the Golden Square Mile, with a Forbes Five-Star Guerlain Spa and one of the city’s best restaurant tables.

At Do Not Disturb, we match you with one of our dedicated luxury travel experts who designs a tailor-made itinerary around how you want your time away to feel. With deep destination knowledge and meticulous planning behind the scenes, we transform complex travel into something effortless and entirely your own.

The world without distraction.

At a glance

The Four Seasons Montreal changed what luxury hospitality looked like in a city that already had high standards. The building itself announces its intentions clearly: black glass and metallic ribbons rising 18 storeys above Rue de la Montagne, connected directly to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, Montreal’s premier luxury department store, with the Museum of Fine Arts a short walk in one direction and Mount Royal in the other.

With only 169 rooms it is an intimate property by Four Seasons standards, which shows in the service. The interior design, handled by Atelier Zebulon Perron and the Paris firm Gilles & Boissier, is the most considered of any hotel in the city, with a curated art collection throughout and a gold-tipped floral installation that flows down the full height of the atrium.

The third floor operates as a social hub combining the restaurant, bar, lounge, and terrace into a single open-concept space that draws Montrealers as well as hotel guests.

In detail

  • Food and Drink

    Food and Drink

Marcus Restaurant is the centrepiece of the third-floor social space, helmed by Executive Chef Jason Morris working within the framework established by Marcus Samuelsson.

The kitchen works closely with local Quebec producers and the menu shifts with the seasons, with the Chef’s Counter offering a bespoke tasting experience for those who want the kitchen’s full attention. The raw bar is consistently one of the most talked-about things on the menu.

Marcus Bar & Lounge adjoins the restaurant with a cocktail programme built around seasonal and signature drinks, and the terrace opens in warmer months with one of the better outdoor drinking settings in downtown Montreal.

  • Spa and Wellness

    Spa and Wellness

The Guerlain Spa holds a Forbes Five-Star rating and is the only hotel spa in Montreal to do so. Treatment rooms are tucked behind deliberately discreet doors along maze-like corridors to preserve the sense of sanctuary.

The menu uses exclusive Guerlain products alongside Kneipp hydrotherapy and gold-infused skincare treatments inspired by the Golden Square Mile location. The skylit indoor pool on the sixth floor has an upstream current generator for lap swimming alongside comfortable daybeds. A steam room, sauna, and 24-hour fitness centre designed by trainer Harley Pasternak complete the wellness offer.

  • Location

    Location

The Golden Square Mile is the right neighbourhood for a Montreal stay. The Museum of Fine Arts is steps away. McGill University, Old Montreal, and the Bell Centre are all within comfortable walking distance. Montreal Central Station is around 15 minutes on foot, and Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport is 20 to 30 minutes by car. The direct connection to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy means serious shopping without stepping outside.
