Cheval Blanc St-Barth is the only hotel in the Caribbean to hold Palace status, an LVMH Maison sitting on the ivory sands of Flamands Beach on the western coast of St Barths.
The interiors are the work of designer Jacques Grange, the gardens were conceived by Madison Cox, and the art throughout reflects a collaboration with French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel. Across 61 rooms, suites, and the exclusive Villa de France, the signature pink-blush palette and tropical landscaping create something that feels closer to a private estate than a hotel.
The positioning is barefoot elegance rather than formal grandeur, with days that move between the beach, the spa, and the restaurant. La Case, the signature evening venue, is led by chef Jean Imbert, with La Cabane handling the beach lunch service. The Guerlain Spa rounds out the wellness offer.
La Cabane is the beach lunch venue with Chef Jean Imbert’s menu, from a Caesar salad to the signature Flamands burger, and a Tiki Bar that gives guests an excuse to stay on the sand until sunset.
La Case is the evening signature, with Imbert’s cooking leaning into local produce, sustainably caught fish, and Caribbean spice in a Jacques Grange room with front-row views of Flamands Bay. The White Bar handles poolside cocktails through the day, and the Carte Blanche service brings a full dinner to in-villa terraces.
The Guerlain Spa is the resident wellness facility, drawing on the French maison’s heritage skincare across a full body and facial treatment menu, with private treatment rooms set within the tropical gardens.
A fitness centre and yoga sessions sit alongside as part of the wider wellbeing program.
Flamands Beach sits on the western coast of the island, around 10 minutes by car from Gustavia and the same again from the airport. The beach itself is one of the longest stretches of white sand on St Barths.
The property occupies the entire central section of the beach, with Madison Cox’s gardens connecting the accommodation, restaurants, and pool. The Hillside Bungalows climb up behind the main building for sunset views.
For uninterrupted views of Flamands Bay, the ocean-facing accommodation is the pick. The Ocean Room and Ocean Junior Suite are the entry points, while the Ocean Suite and the secluded Hillside Bungalow, both with private pools, take things up a level.
Two-bedroom configurations are available for groups of four wanting the same sea-facing position with more space.
As close to Flamands Beach as it gets. The Beach Suite and Two-Bedroom Beach Suite both feature private pools steps from the sand, with the Two-Bedroom Beach House adding a private hot tub.
At the top of the collection, Villa de France is a five-bedroom private residence with its own pool, spa, kitchen, and dedicated Majordome team.
