At a glance

STORY Seychelles, formerly Le Méridien Fisherman’s Cove, is a five-star resort on Beau Vallon Beach, on the northwest coast of Mahé.

The resort is a boutique five-star at the quiet end of Beau Vallon, the largest and most popular beach on Mahé and one of the few swimmable all year. The architecture pairs Creole colonial with suites and villas in tropical gardens by the sand, a short walk from the beach bars and restaurants nearby.

Dining is a strength, with several restaurants and bars covering everything from fine dining to relaxed beachfront meals. A full-service spa, a 24-hour gym, an outdoor pool, and a tennis court round out the property, with a natural reef about 50 metres offshore for snorkelling off the beach. Victoria, the capital, is about ten minutes away, with Seychelles International Airport around 30 minutes by car.

In detail

  • Food and Drink

    Food and Drink

Dining is one of the resort’s strong points, spread across several restaurants and bars. The range extends from fine dining to relaxed beachfront meals, with international menus alongside Creole and seafood, and sunset cocktails over the bay.

With Beau Vallon’s own restaurants and bars a short walk away, there is plenty of choice on the doorstep too, though most guests find enough variety without leaving the resort.

  • Spa and Wellness

    Spa and Wellness

A full-service spa covers a wide treatment menu, from massages and facials to body wraps and aromatherapy. The fitness side extends to a 24-hour gym, yoga classes, and an outdoor tennis court, with an outdoor pool at the centre of the resort.

The real wellness draw is the water: Beau Vallon stays calm and swimmable through the year, and a natural reef about 50 metres out makes for easy snorkelling.

  • Location

    Location

STORY Seychelles sits on Beau Vallon, a long curve of sand on the northwest coast of Mahé and the island’s busiest, most sociable beach. The water is calm and swimmable year-round, which is not true everywhere in the Seychelles, with a reef just offshore.

The capital, Victoria, with its market and museums, is about ten minutes away, and Seychelles International Airport is around 30 minutes by car.

Travel inspiration and editorials

Kenya’s most compelling honeymoon itinerary moves between two entirely different worlds: the wildlife-dense plains of the Maasai Mara and the ancient coral-stone quietude of Lamu Island. Together, they form a journey that is both dramatically varied and precisely calibrated for couples seeking depth over spectacle.

While the Masai Mara dominates Kenya’s safari conversation, Laikipia Plateau has quietly assembled one of Africa’s most compelling luxury wildlife destinations across its network of private conservancies. Here, exclusivity is structural rather than marketed; it takes the form of land, access, and a conservation model that keeps the crowds out by design.

The Amalfi Coast offers no shortage of places to spend money well, but Positano and Ravello represent two fundamentally different arguments for how a luxury trip here should feel. Choosing between them is less a matter of preference and more a question of what kind of traveller you actually are.

Chianti’s landscape of cypress-lined ridges, fortified wine estates, and medieval villages has long attracted travellers seeking something more considered than a hotel stay. Here, a villa is not an amenity but the destination itself.
