  • Days 1-4: The Cultural Triangle

    Days 1-4: The Cultural Triangle

    Your journey begins with a warm welcome at the airport before you’re whisked away to a peaceful retreat in Kotugoda, where tropical gardens and impeccable service the start of your Sri Lankan adventure.

    Travel north into the heart of the island to explore Anuradhapura, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Among its ancient stupas and sacred fig trees, you’ll sense the living pulse of 2,500 years of devotion. Continue to Kaludiya Pokuna, a tranquil monastic site.

    In the days that follow, ascend Pidurangala Rock at dawn for sweeping views of Sigiriya Fortress, then wander the ruins of Polonnaruwa, a medieval city filled with stone temples and exquisite carvings. Climb the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress itself to discover frescoes, mirrored walls, and panoramic views across the jungle canopy. End your stay with a visit to Ritigala Monastery, hidden deep in the forest – a sacred sanctuary of moss-covered stones and total peace.

  • Days 5-6: Kandy

    Journey south to Kandy, pausing en route to visit the Dambulla Cave Temples, where vibrant murals and hundreds of golden Buddhas illuminate the cool interior of this ancient shrine.

    Once the seat of Sri Lanka’s last royal kingdom, Kandy is a city of grace and spirit. Explore its bustling markets, fragrant with spices and flowers, and visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism’s holiest sites. Stroll along Kandy Lake, then enjoy a quiet drink at the Royal Bar, a colonial landmark that captures the city’s timeless charm.

  • Days 7-8: Ella

    Days 7-8: Ella

    Board the scenic train from Kandy to Ella, a journey that winds through misty forests, tea plantations, and cascading waterfalls. It’s truly a rail experience like no other.

    Settle into your boutique hillside retreat and spend your days exploring the natural wonders of the highlands. Hike to Little Adam’s Peak for panoramic views, or venture to Ella Rock, where rolling hills stretch out into the horizon. Evenings here are for total relaxation – sipping Ceylon tea on your terrace as the mountains fade into cloud.

    After your stay, descend from the hills towards the island’s golden south coast, watching the landscape transform once again.

  • Days 9-10: Galle

    Days 9-10: Galle

    Arrive in Galle, Sri Lanka’s historical center. Walk through the cobbled streets of the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, lined with Dutch-era villas, boutique shops, and fragrant spice cafés. Your guide will share the city’s layered history; detailing everything from colonial traders to the vibrant communities that call it home today.

    The highlight of your stay is a private dinner with Mother Washanti and Father Sam, local hosts whose warmth and traditional Sri Lankan curries embody the heart of the island’s hospitality.

    On your final morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before your private transfer to the airport. Along the way, pause for one last taste of home-cooked Sri Lankan cuisine – fragrant, flavorful, and unforgettable.
