  • Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica

    Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica

    Arrive in San José, where your private driver and guide will greet you and ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel.     This morning, journey across lush landscapes as you travel through Braulio Carrillo National Park toward the Caribbean coast. Along the way, stop for breakfast before boarding a boat that winds through the jungle canals of Tortuguero. Arrive at Tortuga Lodge and Gardens, your peaceful retreat surrounded by rainforest. In the afternoon, head out on your first wildlife safari by boat, spotting monkeys leaping through the trees and colourful toucans gliding overhead.

    Wake up to the sounds of the jungle before setting out on a guided exploration of Tortuguero’s waterways. Your naturalist guide will help the family spot caimans, iguanas and perhaps even a sloth high in the canopy.     After breakfast, travel west to Nosara, where the jungle meets the ocean. Check in at Lagarta Lodge, an eco-luxury retreat surrounded by lush jungle and panoramic ocean views. Spend the afternoon settling in – swim in the infinity pool, explore the nearby beach or take part in a relaxing family yoga session as the sun begins to set.
