Why Overwater Villa Escape: French Polynesia’s Signature Luxury

In detail

  • Days 1-2: Tahiti

    Days 1-2: Tahiti

Arrive in Tahiti, where your private transfer will take you to your overwater villa, providing you with your first glimpse of the turquoise waters and coral reefs that define the islands. Spend the day settling into the relaxed rhythm of the South Pacific: swim from your deck, enjoy a sunset drink on your terrace, or stroll along the beach.

If you’d like to explore, Tahiti offers plenty of opportunities to explore nature or immerse yourself in its culture. Visit Papeete’s lively market, discover rainforest trails and waterfalls, or take a drive along the coast to see black-sand beaches and quiet villages. Return to your resort for dinner overlooking the lagoon as the evening light fades.

  • Days 2-6: Mo’orea

    Days 2-6: Mo’orea

A short flight brings you to Mo’orea, where dramatic mountain peaks rise above a luminous lagoon. Your resort sits between forested mountains and the sea, offering a sense of calm and space.

Spend your days however you choose – snorkeling in clear water, kayaking across the lagoon, or walking through pineapple fields and lush valleys to reach viewpoints over Cook’s Bay. For a change of pace, join a private island tour to learn about Polynesian traditions and local life.

Evenings are quiet and unhurried. Dine by candlelight on fresh seafood and tropical fruit, or watch the stars from your terrace as the lagoon turns silver in the moonlight.

  • Days 6-10: Bora Bora

    Days 6-10: Bora Bora

Your final stop is Bora Bora, where Mount Otemanu rises above one of the world’s most beautiful lagoons. You’ll stay in an overwater villa that opens directly onto the sea.

Spend your days exploring the island at your own pace. Take a private lagoon cruise, snorkel among coral gardens, or visit the Bora Bora Turtle Center to learn about local conservation efforts. Back at the resort, relax at the spa, swim in the infinity pool or simply watch the sun set over the mountain from your deck.

On your final day, fly back to Tahiti for your onward journey.
