This two-week journey explores French Polynesia’s most beautiful islands and atolls – Mo’orea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa and Tikehau – each with its own character and distinct underwater world.

At a glance...

With warm lagoons, pristine coral gardens and abundant marine life, these islands offer some of the finest aquatic experiences on earth. Between dives, there’s time to slow down – to walk along pink-sand beaches, dine by the water, and take in the quiet beauty that defines this corner of the Pacific.

Designed for travellers who find calm in exploration, it combines world-class diving and snorkeling with the relaxed luxury the region is known for.

Why French Polynesia Adventure: Beaches, Lagoons & Coral Reefs

In detail

  • Days 1-4: Mo’orea

    Days 1-4: Mo’orea

Your journey begins on Mo’orea, a volcanic island of emerald peaks and turquoise lagoons. Stay at a beachfront resort where you can step directly into the water to swim or snorkel among black-tip reef sharks, turtles and rays.

Spend your days exploring the island’s lagoon on guided snorkeling excursions or diving trips, with opportunities for both beginners and experienced divers.

Back on land, you can hike to viewpoints overlooking Opunohu Bay or enjoy a traditional Polynesian meal at sunset. Evenings are peaceful, marked by the sound of waves and the scent of frangipani in the air.

  • Days 4-7: Bora Bora

    Days 4-7: Bora Bora

Fly onward to Bora Bora, where Mount Otemanu rises dramatically above one of the world’s most famous lagoons. Beneath the surface, coral gardens teem with tropical fish, while above, rainforest slopes and white-sand motus set the scene for rest and exploration.

A private lagoon cruise is the best way to take in the island’s beauty. Sail between small islets, swim in hidden coves, and enjoy fresh fruit and champagne on board as you circle the mountain.

For divers, Bora Bora offers gentle drift dives and excellent visibility, ideal for photography and close encounters with rays and reef sharks.

  • Days 7-11: Rangiroa

    Days 7-11: Rangiroa

Continue to Rangiroa, the second-largest atoll in the world. Its vast lagoon and more than a hundred coral channels make it one of the most rewarding diving destinations in the world.

Here, the focus is on connection with the ocean. Experienced divers can explore Tiputa Pass, known for dolphins and large pelagic species, while snorkelers will find calm shallows filled with colourful coral and schools of fish. When you’re not in the water, visit the Pink Sands of Vahituri, where coral-tinted beaches glow under the tropical sun.

Evenings are for you to unwind and savour all that Rangiroa has to offer – a quiet meal of freshly caught seafood and an uninterrupted horizon.

  • Days 11-14: Tikehau

    Days 11-14: Tikehau

Your final stop is Tikehau, a near-perfect coral atoll known for its soft pink sands and exceptional marine life. Stay at a secluded resort surrounded by a calm lagoon, where diving and snorkeling reveal a vivid underwater world of clownfish, lionfish, manta rays and reef sharks.

Join a guided reef walk with a naturalist, paddleboard across the lagoon, or simply rest on your terrace watching the light move across the water. Tikehau’s beauty lies in its stillness – the bliss of being far away from everything and yet completely at ease.
